Stories always fascinate children. The aim of this activity is to study the folktales of India and the partner countries. Students will be able to learn/ explore about important life lessons, personality development and know about the cultural traditions through different activities.

Introduction through PPT-

The students were briefed about what folktales are and  how they shape our culture and beliefs.They teach us Moral values through different stories and characters. 

The students were also asked to share the tales they have heard from their elders.

 

Talk Show –

Talk Show with a motive to instill in students the value of love, respect and importance of elders ‘Grand Parents Day’ was celebrated in the school . The highlight of the program was the “Talk Show”. In the talk show the Grandparents shared their experiences, information and guidance with the students.

 

Skype Session 1

Under ISA Project Folk Tales- A kaleidoscope of Culture , the SRCians of grade- Nursery to II got an opportunity to interact with the students of Our Creative Academy, Nepal. They introduced themselves and exchanged the stories which were told to them by their Grandparents.

Kala Vithika-

 Students of the Primary classes  displayed their mask craft ideas by making beautiful Masks. In another activity they even participated in the Puppet Making and Cartoon Character colouring.

Fancy Dress Competition

It is pure fun to watch the kids in colorful costumes representing a particular theme or an object or a famous person. Students of the primary wing participated in the Fancy Dress competition. They were dressed like characters of the folk tales and looked beautiful in their creative costumes.

Skype Session2

SRCians  interacted with the students of ‘Our Creative Academy, Nepal .’ The students narrated the stories related to tradition and culture of each other's country.SRCians also shared the exhibits such as Mask, puppets,Scrapbooks and story books made by them with the students of Partner country.
